Grumpy Cat’s Worst Christmas Ever
If you spend any time at all on the internet, you will have come across Grumpy Cat. Officially known as Tardar Sauce, Grumpy Cat is an online celebrity famed for her rather moody expression who has appeared on the covers of New York magazine and The Wall Street Journal – and now she’s getting her very own TV movie!
Those of you looking for gifts for cat lovers should, as well as stocking up on lots of lovely handmade goodies for your friends and family, think about showing your pals with a feline affinity Grumpy Cat’s Worst Christmas Ever, about a 12-year-old girl who desperately wants a yuletide companion.
As she wanders into a pet shop, she comes across the similarly lonely Grumpy Cat (voiced by Parks and Recreation’s own Aubrey Plaza) and discovers that they can communicate with one another. However, Grumpy Cat isn’t quite the placid, sweet little mewing friend she was on the lookout for. What happens next? Well, you’ll have to go and see it for yourself.
This isn’t the first time Tardar Sauce has appeared on screen, however. She’s also made appearances on American Idol, Good Morning America, Today, Anderson Live and The Soup. She also attended her own book launch in Los Angeles and appeared in Lil Bub & Friendz, a documentary that was premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival in 2013 and went on to win the Tribeca Online Festival Best Feature Film.
Can you think of a better way of marking the festive season than getting all your friends around to see this film and then surprising them on December 25th with some gorgeous cat-related presents as well? We can’t! It’s on Lifetime on November 29th, so make a note in your diaries now.
